Relocate an NHS Pharmacy to Medical Centre

In September 2020 we received final approval for the relocation of a client’s pharmacy to a new medical centre being developed by Assura in Tonbridge, Kent. In this project we advised both the developer and the pharmacy owner (in making their relocation application) as it was important to not only secure a tenant for the scheme but then also to secure the NHS permission to relocate the pharmacy in to the new medical centre. We know of some companies who simply ask all pharmacies within a certain radius of the proposed scheme to make an offer for the pharmacy unit at a new medical centre, but this would not have been the correct approach here and we are pleased to have delivered a pharmacy tenant with consent to relocate their pharmacy in a manner which made sense for both the developer and the pharmacy operator. The new medical centre will be operational before the end of 2020.
