Rushport Secures New Pharmacy Tenant for the New Stourbridge Lion Medical Centre

We have had a very busy start to 2014 with a record first few months for project completions. One of our biggest schemes was the new Stourbridge Lion Medical Centre which finally opened its doors in April after many years of planning.

The GP partners chose Rushport to secure them a pharmacy tenant for the new medical centre, which is one of the largest in the north west, with 26,000 registered patients and a wide range of additional NHS services being provided from the building.

The project was complicated by the fact that local pharmacies had been refused permission to relocate to the building under the old 2005 Regulations, so the tender process had to also include providing advice to the prospective pharmacy tenants about how they could secure permission to relocate to the site and overturn the previous decisions.

Rushport worked with the practice for over a year to make sure that the right tenant was secured and the new medical centre is now up and running.
